 di Alessio Di CarloUna vicenda insopportabile e purtroppo non nuova è quella che si è verificata presso l'Istituto milanese “Gaetano Pini” che ha rifiutato la donazione di sangue da parte di un giovane quarantenne in quanto dichiaratamente omosessuale. I vertici del Pini si sono giustificati spiegando di essere tenuti al rispetto delle direttive impartite dal Policlinico di Milano, tra cui, per l'appunto, il divieto di accettare donazioni di sangue da parte di soggetti omosessuali. Il merito della vicenda si commenta da sé: a nessuna persona di buonsenso (una volta tanto non c'è bisogno di scomodare la legge) verrebbe in mente di rifiutare (o di accettare, intendiamoci) il sangue di un donatore senza aver preventivamente verificato l'insussistenza oggettiva di rischi medici ma basandosi esclusivamente su una sorta di autocertificazione relativa alle abitudini sessuali dell'interessato. Purtroppo, però, come si diceva, non è la prima volta che casi del genere si verificano. Ma quello che davvero sconforta è verificare come, ancora una volta, sia dura da sconfiggere la tendenza oscurantista imboccata dal nostro paese da alcuni anni a questa parte. Se infatti, da un lato, ieri la Commissione sugli errori sanitari e i disavanzi sanitari regionali ha fatto sapere che invierà una richiesta di relazione circa l'accaduto all'assessore alla Sanità della Regione Lombardia, dall'altro non si è avuto notizia, quantomeno fino ad oggi, di analoghe iniziative da parte del Ministro Ferruccio Fazio. Spiace constatare che spesso il dicastero berlusconiano che si occupa di sanità si è lasciato sfuggire l'occasione di mostrarsi – non diciamo all'avanguardia – ma almeno al passo con i tempi in materia di temi etici. Che un governo guidato dal leader di un partito che si definisce liberale, infarcito di esponenti di quella che una volta si sarebbe chiamata l'ala socialista riformista, riesca a far rimpiangere l'ex Ministro della Sanità Francesco Storace, la dice lunga sui destini a cui la parte laica e liberale di questo paese deve probabilmente rassegnarsi. In parecchi infatti hanno rammentato che nel settembre 2005, l'allora Ministrodella Sanità, in un caso del tutto analogo a quello capitato in questi giorni, non ha esitato a disporre l'apertura di un'inchiesta per accertare responsabilità amministrative o comportamenti sanzionabili penalmente dopo il rifiuto del Policlinico di Milano di prelevare il sangue ad un omosessuale donatore. Scherzando, verrebbe voglia di commentare che “a caval di donatore non si guarda in bocca”. Ma poco c'è da sorridere. Non ce ne vorrà quindi il simpatico e arguto ex presidente della Regione Lazio se ci troviamo a constatare che se ci siamo ridotti a prendere lezioni di liberalismo dal leader de La Destra siamo messi proprio male.
